About the 2025 SRC Elections
The elections are managed by KDBS Consulting (Pty) Ltd as the appointed Independent Chief Election Administrator
The SRC has been established in order to ensure that communication between CUT and all students occurs through a representative student body on behalf of the students, and that such representative student body pledges to uphold the pursuit of academic freedom at CUT.

The Terms of Reference of the SRC serves the purpose of outlining the details and the procedural implementation of aspects of the Act (as amended) and the Statute of CUT with regards to the establishment and composition, manner of election, term of office, functions and privileges of the SRC.
The system of election of the SRC shall be that of non-proportional representation (NPR). Therefore, any student eligible for nomination as an SRC member shall be eligible to stand and contest for a position in the SRC as an individual student or as the representative of a student organisation.

Composition and Purpose
The LST accounts to the Manager: Governance and Student Life (Bloemfontein) and the Deputy Campus Director (Welkom) who shall be responsible for the administration of resources relating to elections.

SRC Sabbatical/Secretary-General;

1 (ONE) representative from the Office of the Manager: Governance and Student Life (Bloemfontein) and

The Deputy Campus Director (Welkom).
